IU Health University Hospital
Consistently ranked among the nation's top hospitals by U. S. News & World Report and many other guides to health care, Indiana University Medical Center is widely recognized for its clinical excellence. University Hospital & Outpatient Center houses a high-technology imaging center, the only facility in Indiana which offers all the high-tech modalities such as positron emission tomography (PET), computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in one location. Transplant teams perform more transplants than any other Indiana hospital, and offers seven transplantation programs for adults and six for children. To care for bone marrow transplant patients, University Hospital & Outpatient Center has a dedicated 14-bed adult bone marrow transplantation unit.

First opened in 1970, and recently renovated. This modern adult hospital serves as a tertiary referral center for the state of Indiana. The major Orthopaedic emphasis includes total joint arthroplasty, musculoskeletal oncology, adult spinal deformities and reconstructive upper extremity surgery.

Riley Hospital for Children - IU Health
Riley Hospital for Children, a Level I Trauma Center, is Indiana's only comprehensive pediatric hospital. Riley operates one of the largest pediatric intensive care units in the country, and has the only pediatric burn unit in Indiana. Riley is also the only hospital in the sate that provides pediatric renal dialysis, as well as an advanced technique called extra corporeal membrane oxygenation. This is a support system for children with serious lung disorders that allows their lungs to heal by "breathing" on them. A pediatric bone marrow transplant unit with ten dedicated beds was recently constructed at Riley to better accommodate the number and variety of pediatric cancer patients. Riley is a national model for parental participation and education; the Ronald McDonald House provides a place to stay for families of pediatric patients.

As the only Indiana hospital specializing solely in the care of children, this 270-bed facility offers excellent coverage of children's orthopaedic problems. In October of 1986, a new wing was added, which includes 14 operating rooms, new radiology suites and neonatal intensive care facilities. Riley is one of the largest children's hospitals in the United States.

Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center
The Indiana University melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center is a patient care, research, and educational organization within the Indiana University School of Medicine, located on the school's main campus in Indianapolis.  Established in 1992 as the IU Cancer Center, it has been an NCI-designated Cancer Center since 1999 and is the only center with sush distinction in Indiana that provides patient care.  It changed its name in 2006 to reflect the philantropic support of the Melvin and Bren Simon family.

IU Health Methodist
One of the largest private hospitals in the nation, it boasts 1100 beds, 70 of which are dedicated to Orthopaedic Surgery. Adjacent to this facility is the Thomas A. Brady Sports Medicine Clinic, one of the largest Sports Medicine Clinics in the country, seeing in excess of 20,000 outpatients per year.

IU Health West
Located on Avon 's north side, IU Health West is a full-service, community-based hospital. IU Health West offers a full range of patient care services. IU Health West is an 86-bed hospital with a conveniently attached Professional Office Center . At IU Health West Hospital, the families and communities of West Central Indiana and beyond have access to remarkable care close to home.

IU Health North
IU Health North Hospital is an affiliate of Methodist, Indiana University, Riley and IU Health West hospitals, operating within the framework and mission of IU Health Partners. IU Health North Hospital is a member of the IU Health Partners system, yet is an independent for-profit organization with its own board of managers, CEO, executive management team, physician investors and community representation.

IU Health North is a 170-bed hospital with an attached medical office building located at the northwest corner of 116th Street and U.S. 31 North/Meridian Street.

Wishard Memorial Hospital
Wishard Memorial Hospital is a full-service, acute care city-county 618-bed facility. It has the busiest emergency care center in the state. Among other services, Wishard has a 13-bed adult burn treatment unit and a critical care unit offering surgical, medical and cardiac intensive care as well as progressive care for high-risk mothers.

The St. Margaret's Diagnostic Breast Center is a nationally recognized facility for breast cancer diagnosis. Advanced breast imaging equipment includes a stereotactic localizing device for accurate needle biopsy which may eliminate the need for an incisional biopsy in the future.

Regenstrief Health Center, operated by the School of Medicine, is the outpatient facility of Wishard Hospital, where faculty and staff provide primary and acute care in 56 specialty clinics, seeing 3,500 to 4,000 patients a week.

This large facility, over 600 beds, is a busy city-county hospital. It is an integral part of the Indiana University residency training program in all disciplines. It offers full-time faculty staffing a wide variety of general orthopaedics, trauma, reconstructive surgery, arthroscopy, foot and hand surgery.

Veteran's Administration Hospital
Richard L. Roudebush V.A. Medical Center serves as a designated referral center for several other facilities in the Midwest. The 610-bed facility handles over 10,000 admissions annually, in addition to approximately 150,000 outpatients. Specialized treatment is provided in many areas. Due to the large number of veterans needing care for cardiovascular disease, renal disease and dialysis, pulmonary function, and liver problems, the Roudebush Medical Center is recognized for diagnosis, treatment and research in these areas. Major research areas include chronic ischemic heart disease, rheumatology, organ transplant surgery, and liver disease.

In excess of 650 beds, the 10th Street V.A. Hospital has a dedicated 35 bed ward for Orthopaedic Surgery. The V.A. offers the resident a busy consultation and outpatient experience. It is located on the Medical Center campus.

St. Vincent's Hospital
Located on the north side of Indianapolis, this suburban hospital of 650 beds has a very busy general orthopaedic service, providing the resident an opportunity for general orthopaedics in a community setting. Adjacent to St. Vincent's is the Indiana Center for Surgery and Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremity, where the residents in Orthopaedic Surgery obtain an extremely valuable experience in care of the hand, both traumatic and reconstructive problems.
